Jorge Garcia was born on 28 April 1973, in Omaha, Nebraska USA, of Cuban and Chilean descent. Jorge is a comedian and actor, best known for his portrayal of the character Hugo “Hurley” Reyes, in the television series “Lost”. He has also starred in various other television shows and films including “Hawaii Five-0”, “Ridiculous 6” and “Once Upon a Time”. All his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

Subsequently, Jorge attended and graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in Communication Studies during 1995. After college, he decided to study acting and attended the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

With his studies completed, Garcia would appear in a few commercials while working at Borders Books and Music. Eventually, he started getting roles in both film and on television. After his appearance on “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, a character was made just for him for the series “Lost”. Prior to being cast for the series, he had appeared in various series such as “Columbo”, “Becker” and “Spin City”. He was the first actor to be cast in “Lost” which ran from 2004 to 2010. While he starred in the series, he also appeared in other shows such as “Celebrity Poker Showdown” and “Russian Roulette”. His popularity and net worth significantly increased while in “Lost”, and he did various things concurrent with it, such as a blog and a weekly podcast. He also won an SAG Award and two ALMA Awards for his work there. His character also became the feature of the Weezer album entitled “Hurley”.

After the end of “Lost”, Jorge became a part of “When We Were Pirates”, of which he was the associate producer. Other opportunities also opened to him such as the series “Alcatraz”, and “How I Met Your Mother” in which he guest-starred. During 2011, he appeared in “Mr. Sunshine”, but the show was eventually cancelled due to a drop in viewer numbers. He started appearing in the fourth season of “Hawaii Five-0” as a recurring guest, and then later became a regular cast member. One of his recent works is called “The Healer”, in which he will star alongside Jonathan Pryce and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. He was also in the Netflix movie “Ridiculous 6”.

For his personal life, it is known that Jorge and Bethany Leigh Shady had a relationship, as evident in the podcast “Geronimo Jack’s Beard”, however, he remains single. 1I have been sent three or four scripts for television series, but there wasn't anything I really wanted to do. I want to tell a good story, whether it's a TV show, a movie, whatever. That's really my No. 1 criteria.

So after that policy was imposed, I knew that was going to be my last summer working there.
